11 MILES EAST OF WALLA WALLA IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS
Camp Amanda is a powerful grief resource for families in our community that began over 40 years ago. Please reach out using the information below to find details about our annual children’s grief camp.
WHO:
It’s a special weekend experience for kiddos ages 8-14
who’ve experienced a significant loss in their life.
(The loss does not have to be a family member.)
WHAT:
We aim to help campers begin to talk about their feelings
related to the death of someone special, and teach them healthy coping skills
for dealing with those feelings. Of course, we mix of fun activities in between
for a well-balanced weekend!
WHEN:
Camp Amanda is always held the last full weekend
of July. Camp Amanda 2026 is scheduled for July 24-26, 2026.
WHERE:
We hold camp about 11 miles east of Walla Walla, Washington
in the Blue Mountains. (Transportation to and from camp is not provided)
HOW:
Contact our Camp Amanda Coordinator at campamanda@wwhospice.org, 509-525-5561, or use the inquiry box below for more
information! If the registration deadline has passed, you can still fill out an
application and submit, and it will be saved for the upcoming camp year. Note
that campers will be registered as completed registrations are received.
COST:
Free – Thanks to many generous local donors, grants, and
Walla Walla Community Hospice.
